Rolls-Royce Boat Tail is the most expensive new car in the world

- Advertisment -

The Rolls Royce costs $28 million and only three different units will be made. The model is inspired by the Boat Tail of the 1920s and 1930s and the elegant yachts of the J-Class.

At a price of $28 million, the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail is the most expensive new car in the world. The company decided to replicate the experience it did in 2017 with the Rolls-Royce Sweptail, a unique model created at the request of a customer who paid $12.8 million.

After several requests from the most loyal customers, the British brand listened and gave life to the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail, a vehicle that combines luxury and recreation. In this case, the company developed the model together with three of its most loyal buyers to conceive an incredible model that is inspired by the Boat Tail of the 1920s and 1930s and the elegant J-Class yachts.

To meet customer ambitions, significant engineering challenges were overcome in the development of the extravagant car. In fact, 1813 completely new pieces were created specifically for the creation of this one. Time, patience, dedication and passion were the hallmarks of the project.

At 5.8 meters in length, it presents an elegant line at the height of the company’s tradition. It is a convertible, and although it does not have a retractable hardtop, the roof is fixed and is mounted and removed manually.

The new Rolls-Royce Boat Tail shares several parts with the Rolls-Royce Phantom, including the aluminum platform and the 6.7 V12 engine with twin turbo, capable of delivering 600 hp of power.

It also has many other unique pieces created by the company’s renowned artisans. The exterior of the car shows its relationship with the nautical world thanks to its lines and colors. The wheels are finished in bright blue, highly polished and clear coated to add to the celebratory character.

A first for Rolls-Royce, the hand-painted and weathered bonnet rises from a subdued blue that cascades over the grille, providing a progressive yet casual aesthetic and overall volume solidity when viewed from the front.

The Rolls-Royce Boat Tail also hides a unique sun visor under the rear center line in anticipation of good weather. A telescopic movement opens the awning in the reverse direction, ensuring effortless deployment.

At the push of a button, the cover flips open in a butterfly gesture, revealing a cargo area. The perfect accessories for an authentic outdoor dining experience are stored here; one side is dedicated to snacks and the other to the kitchen. In addition, a double refrigerator was created to store the customers’ champagne bottles.

Talking about Rolls-Royce is knowing that the price will be more than interesting. The Boat Tail is the most expensive new car in the world, costing a whopping €23 million.
