Instagram and the new option to customize your profile in the social network

It will allow you to place pronouns next to the name. See how it works.

Instagram is integrating an option that allows users to clarify their pronouns in the profiles. It had already been incorporated into Facebook and other social networks.

At the moment it is only available in some countries. However, the option will quickly be enabled for everyone.

The social network will offer different options for gender and sexual orientation. It is an optional tool, which will not be mandatory to complete the profile.

The configuration will be available within “Edit profile”. At the moment it allows adding up to 4 pronouns, which will be shown in gray next to the user’s name.

On the other hand, this information can be modified, like the rest, as many times as the user wants. It will also be possible to hide it.
