WhatsApp can be used on four devices at the same time

- Advertisment -

The instant messaging application continues to work to give a successful experience to its users around the world. It is seeking to facilitate its use and provide greater practicality. The update will be available in a month or two.

WhatsApp continues to work on new tools and updates to keep up with the strong user demand that the company has worldwide. In this case, the instant messaging application has in its hands a new function to facilitate its use and practicality.

When important changes are approaching in WhatsApp, they must be taken into account since it is one of the most used applications in the world. The new multi-device function will allow the application account to be used on a device other than the main one, without the need for an active internet connection.

With this new mode, messages will maintain end-to-end encryption, and users will be able to use the same account on up to four devices, which may include Android and iOS operating system devices.

The CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, indicated that the new support function that allows using several devices simultaneously, was “a great technological challenge” that they were able to solve, while the executive director of WhatsApp, Will Cathcart, confirmed that this novelty it will hit a public beta version “in a month or two.”

Traditionally, WhatsApp worked on a single device, but that began to change in 2015 with the arrival of WhatsApp Web.

Until now, WhatsApp can only be used on a single device at a time, and in the desktop or WhatsApp Web version, it is used as long as the main device is connected.

That is, although WhatsApp can currently be used on a computer as well as on the phone, it is not really multi-device support, since without the mobile connection, it will not work on the computer. It is, more or less, as if the desktop and web versions were a mirror of what happens on the cell phone.

The Telegram messaging platform is the main competitor of WhatsApp in this regard, it has been with multi-device support for years. This can be used on all the devices you want, completely independently. That is what WhatsApp will now allow, that you can use the application on up to 4 devices independently.
